Killer Guitar with Pearly Gates Vibes! (Stock #1302)

This guitar is one of the killers from the “good wood” era of the Gibson custom shop. Unlike the current Murphy Lab reissues, this one is actually hand aged by Tom Murphy himself back when he personally aged just a few 100 a year. It looks right! It has the look and feel of a 65 year old guitar. The top has fairly tight flame with tons of movement and lots of grain and mineral flecking. The color is just stunning with its super rich iced tea burst. The tone is full and woody with excellent not definition and clarity. The neck is a chunky C with excellent playability. This guitar is in excellent condition. It has a few aftermarket parts. The pickups are Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Pearly Gates (these are not the same as the off the shelf version) They are incredible sounding. It also has Retrospec knobs. Everything else appears to be original.
